creaky front end

Hello

this car is my first Pontiac in a long time. The front right side makes a creaky sound when I bounce the car. The noise is coming from the upper suspension mount. Anyone else have this problem?

Unhappy RE: Creaky Front End

?? You're sure it's coming from the mount and not the strut?

Assuming you've asked your favorite mechanic (or not), have you tried asking the guys at "CarTalk"?

The noise was coming from the suspension mount, but I sprayed some teflon lube in it the other day and the creak is gone.

This time I bought some silicon spray and sprayed both sides where the rubber washer rubs against the top of the suspension mount and the noise disappeared again. This noise can't be normal and if it comes back I'll have to take it apart and see if the mount is damaged

Hello. I am new to forums. Last time I posted was when I signed up, and that was in March sometime I think? Long enough to have my password remailed.

Yes. I am currently experiencing this very same problem. Oh, how it would have been nice to plug THAT into the searchbar

Anyways I am going to read on and see what happened, seeing as I just quit smoking and everything is making me nervous (?)
Besides, this is my first car where that happened and I am really at a loss as to if the car is still drivable/how much (if any) damage can be incured if I keep driving like that.

Thank you for the post.
