B16A2 potential woes...

Okay, I live in CA, aka, the hardest damn state in the union to pass smog. I just picked up my B16A2 the other day, and now I feel I may be troubled more than it was worth. I have a 98 EX, so my engine has to be at least as new, if not newer than my car for starters. I know the A2 came in the 99-00 si... But I've searched around, and found out that it also came in the 96-97 DelSol Vtec. Also, the JDM Sir II is also refered to as the B16A2 (even though most people say that JDM engines don't have numbers in the suffix of the code).

I know there's a 33% chance I could be screwed, but I'm hoping someone here can tell me how to identify which model I have (i.e. serial numbers, or physical differences).

Thanks all!

P.S. On a lighter note, the engine does only have 9k miles, GSR pistons, GSR cams, GSR springs and retainers, an STR fuel rail, and a type r intake manifold!!! Best part is, only cost me $2400. Let's just hope it wasn't for nothing...

Re: B16A2 potential woes...

C'mon, can't anybody help me out here? I've searched past threads, but not one ends up saying the same thing as another. I gotta find this out before I sink more cash into it.

Did you get an ECU with it? If so does it say P2T on it, or P30?

Re: B16A2 potential woes...

Nah, no ECU. Sorry to bring this post back, but haven't had my comp working for a few days. I'm planning on getting the P2T though. Also, if the engine is OBDII, how many of each sensors are there supposed to be (intake has 2, exhaust has one... if you wanna answer with the given factors)?
