fan clutch
Hi, I have a 2000 Blazer 4dr LT. I have noticed recently that when the engine is cold and first started that it makes some squealing noises then stops. Could this be the fan clutch? About 8 months ago the alternator, serpentine belt and idler pulley were replaced. Does anyone know how to check the fan clutch?

I can't be to sure without hearing it but it is probably just your belt. Is it humid where you live? Maybe something is getting on the belt while you drive? Does it happen everytime you start it? Hit the belt with some wd-40 and see if that helps at all.
