Re: idle control problems on my 92 si

I vote this to be the most asked question here.

Try a search for 'idle', you'll find many posts with people asking similar questions. If you can't find it, ask here again and I'll be glad to help.

air valve backed out on the back of the intake manifold. There is a small bolt on the back of the intake take it off there is a small screw inside tighten it do this with the car OFF then put everything back on then start the car and see if u need to do it again

Re: idle control problems on my 92 si

There are two holes inside the throttle body (about 8 & 10 o'clock), with the engine running, cover one hole and then the other with your finger. If this clears your idle, then that circuit is the problem. Check your manual for the component.
