Lancer Engine

A friend of mine has an OZ Rally Lancer, and he's been trying to mod it. No out of the box parts of course, as I am sure lots of members have noticed. But, it strikes me that all the Lancers run a 4G63, same as the Eclipse and the Evos. Whats to stop someone from mounting parts from those cars on a base Lancer? I'm sure there is probably something preventing that, but I figure I should at least ask for his sake.

its not a 4g63 its a 4g94 engine. They sit on opposite sides of the engine bay also

the evo VIII is a 4G63 transverse engine. runs a 16g turbo

dont know what the other ones are.. prob like you said a 94 something
