1992 RS Camaro Hood Stuck

Yea my problem is the my hood won't open after I pull the latch. My buddy said to go under the car and look around the radiator for a line and just pull it, I was just wondering if this will work and if there is another alternative way of getting the hood open. Also, the transmission I think is low on fluids because whenever the car would hit 30mph it would jump my RPM Meter to redlineing, is that the fluids or that trans?

well about the hood problem , its prolly the spring on the latch not going back all the way , happened on my car just spray some wd40 or something else , it helped me , umm if you cant get it open you need someone to hold the latch down while you play with the hood , you'll get it eventually

Re: 1992 RS Camaro Hood Stuck

Ive had 4 3rd' gens and have had hood problems with all of them.. Pull the latch (sometimes you havta push the latch back in) and have someone pull up on the hood and kinda giggle it.. it should pop open.. Ive even had one where if you hit the hood in the right place, or push it down a bit then pull up, itd pop open

yup, the best way i have found, pull the latch, walk up, and use the ball of your hand to whack the hood on the front driver side corner, and it should pop open .

Re: 1992 RS Camaro Hood Stuck

What I have found, and proved to be true on soo many occasions, is that if something quits working on these camaros(headlight, hatchpulldown or hood for instance) A good swift boot will more than likely fix it!! its always a temporary solution!
