Question h22's - does anyone know?

would anybody happen to know if the parts for the h22a1 and h22a4 motors are interchangable (i.e. - connecting rods, etc...)? is there a c/r diff. between a jdm a1, and a usdm a4?

they should be but you would have to know if they were the right length for the stroke of the crank

well on my b16 that i have, the stock connecting rods would not fit in the type r pistons, so im just guessing you may run into the same problems, try to get matched parts if you plan on upgrading as the borexstroke should be the same for each motor.

afaik a1 and a4 are exactly the same EXCEPT for the a4 (97-01) having a 10.6:1 ratio thus creating "200hp" as opposed to the a1's (92-96) 10.0:1 ratio making "190hp"

btw..there was no jdm "a1" - the jdm h22's never came with a revision number. All jdm h22's are stamped "h22a"
