Car stalls

I have a '93 grand am that it runs fine when I first started, but once the engine is already warm up, it would just stall on me, and it won't start for another 5- 10 minutes, it would run for another 2 blocks and the it stall on me again, at first they told me that it was the fuel filter, so I got that changed, but it still doing the same again, now I was told that it could be the Distributor Module(sorry if i spell it wrong), but I don't know if that could fix the problem, can anybody help before i spend more cash without knowing what it is?
