lowering springs

hi i have a 92 240sx se and would like to drop it maybe an inch or so...i was thinking about just getting the eibach 1.2 inch springs but i've heard from alot of people here that when you lower your car you also need to get new shocks..anyway the eibach website says it will work fine with your stock one's and so i was wondering if you guys think it wouldnt be too hard on my stock shocks with suck a small drop...i plan on getting new shocks too but not for another year probably because i have other financial priorities...so whats your oppinions?

If the Springs are stiff enough they can over power the shocks (more bouncy ride) then if the springs drop the car enough it could cause the shock to bottom out more often. Id say for Eibachs its fine just dont expect them to last 100,000 miles

Re: lowering springs

H&R's Springs + Koni Shocks = OMG!

i myself haven't done this yet due to a lack of money, but i plan to when i have sufficient funds

i say just do the shocks with the springs cuz then you'll only have to get under the car 1 time as opposed to 2 seperate occasions.
