Fuel Pump interchange

Are all Elec fuel pump created equal??

What I mean is do they have differant pressure ranges etc.

I have an 89 S-10 2.5L TBI and the pump is toast.

I want to hit the yards and find a replacement.
Do I need to find a a donor 2.5L s-10 or can I look at the 4.3L and even the second gen s-10, blazer etc

Also are the sending units on these also the same??

Please help!!

Not all fuel pumps are created equal. They will range in different psi. Some could be as low as 9 and as high or higher than 61 psi.

Re: Fuel Pump interchange

I'd suggest staying with the 2.5L Donor. Since a 4.3 requires more fuel overall than a 2.5, it's going to require a different pump, with different specs. Go with the donor.
