i know all of you will have your own "opinions" on what happened... but whatever it may be... what happend here actually happened.

That guy did not know how to drive.

Mad props to the Civic though. The driver gained some big bragging rights.

Ok, first of all let me say this. If you have a fast civic, snaps to you, if you like civics, great, I don't have anything agianst civics. BUT!! The guy in the farrari couldn't drive worth shit, I didn't even here him chirpin second and third! This is the scenario I put forth.
Guy has lots of money, guy goes to bathroom, guy realizes he has a small dick, guy goes out and buys a farrari to compensate, guy goes out to show off his new set of brass balls, guy only learned to drive a stick by driving this farrari off the lot, guy races civic (who's driver knows how to drive pretty well), guy drives farrari like family mini-van, doesn't drop clutch on launch, guy shifts at 3500, gets his doors blown.

Now I'm sure there are some civics out there somewere who could actualy beat a 550 or 355 f1, drivin right. Hell they are farraris but the 550 runs like 11s and the 355 is what... 12s stock. I know there are some civics out there layin down 10.8s and 11s out there! BUT!! I don't think that civic was one of those civics, it just didn't sound like heat.

Oh well, thats what I think.

I remember reading about this video in another forum, was a civic forum, and they were talking about his mods.It was a hatch SI with a B18C motor (jspec) with a turbo running 14lbs of boost. They said that he was running mid-elevens on the strip. They also said that he wasn't even pushing his car hard, saying he shifted before redline.

Not to sure about it myself, but if the mods are true, the civic is capable of beating Ferrari's with a good driver.

And of course the driver of the F wasn't a good driver, he was at local street races trying to show up kids.Personaly, if i had a ferrari, i wouldn't waste my time at the local races, i'd be at the strip as much as possible.Car might have 380hp, but rich people just don't know how to push cars to the limits.

The Ferrari is definately a replica... which usually is built with a weak weak V6.

God help all of you if you ever run into a real drag car. Me and my buddies out here in the boonies like to build sub 10 second cars for the street. Those are our daily drivers.

Its not like that, just as an example, there are planty of 1000+hp GTRs running around as daily drivers. If it's a turbo car just 'cause with full boost on you push 1000+hp and drink gas, that doesn't mean you have to drive with full boost all the time. Either a boost controler or just short shifting can solve that problem.
