Dome Lights and Radio

Hope someone can help me! I have a 94 Ranger and we (My Son and I) was removing the factory radio and installing a new one and thats when the problem started. Now in ACC the dome loght will stay on about 4 Min and then shut off the only way to get it back on is to go to start and then back to acc The same is true for the radion in start it will not come on but in acc or off it will work time and all. We have put the orginal radio back in but it still does it.

sounds like you might have tied in the radio to the dimmer switch wire. this is common since many factory radios will dim with dash lights. did you use a wiring plug harness or just splice into the factory radio wires? most car alarm/ radio websites have a color code diagram for your vehicle on them.
