Re: 92 chevy 1500 no start
did it die while u were driving or just wouldn't start one day cold?
You can turn the ignition to the "on" position and take a test light and check to see you have 12v at the hot wire connection for the coil. you should also have it when the key is turned to the "start" position. If you have it one or the other, but not both, then it is likely a wiring problem from the starter to your ignition switch or even the ignition switch itself. If you do have the 12v there during both positions, but no spark in any of the cylinders, the problem is either a defective coil, ignition module in the distributor, or rotor. If you get sparks in any of the cylinders, but not all, look for faulty plug wires, distributor cap, or fouled plugs GL! |

Re: 92 chevy 1500 no start
it was warming up in the driveway and died i thought it was out of gas because i was running low . So i put gas in it but didn't run it for couple days and now no spark it did this once before when i put new starter in it but i was towing it home and just thought i would try it one last time and it fired up. i tested coil i am gtetting 12v in on and start position but no spark from coil this is a new coil too
and no spark from any wires either |
