95 GT Fuel Filter

Where is the fuel filter located on a 1995 mustang GT. I am going to help my friend replace it, and knowing the location would make it easier.
Also I was searching and I read that some mustangs need a special tool to replace it... does a 95 GT. Or can it just be done with a wrench.

Is there anything else that I may run into that is common with the fuel filters on these cars.

Thanks in advanced

according to autozone, UNDER VEHICLE, PASSENGER SIDE, BELOW SEATING AREA, PASSENGER SIDE OF TRANSMISSION, MOUNTED ON FRAME IN FUEL LINE

Ive just replaced the one in my 93 t-bird a couple weeks ago, and it sound like they are in the same spot. Basically just look under your passenger seat(under the car) find the frame, find the fuel line (black hose) and in the line should be a cylinder shaped container a little bit larger than a coke can, with two connections on either end. I was told you needed a special tool also, but i was able to pop the connections things off with a reg screwdriver. I was careful and didnt damage them, but mine came with 1 connection, so just dont mess both of 'em up, and you'll be ok. any more questions let me know, i'll help if i can. Also when you pop 'em off, a little gas squirts out, nothing major, just have something to catch the excess in so your not working in gas. And dont smoke while working, lol

My fuel filter was actually towards the back of the vehicle sort of under the rear seat under the car. It is right in front of the tank. Yes there is a special tool but I was able to remove this clip with needle nose pliers and a screwdriver.

Re: 95 GT Fuel Filter

Thank you both for your help.
I am going to go do this today so we'll see how it goes.
I did this on my eclipse a month or two ago, and it was very easy. Just a matter of removeing the fuel lines with a 19mm socket. It was very easy... but then I forgot which way it went back on. But i figured it out.
I just hope his mustang is this easy. I know the plugs we are replacing are a bi*** to get at.

Re: 95 GT Fuel Filter

We replaced the plugs-- it was fun belive me. (It had aftermarket headers)
And the fuel filter was easy. It came with two new tab things so we just broke the old ones off.
But his car is still misfiring, I am makeing a new post. Hopefully someone can help him.
