90-93 version vs 94+ Integra

Ok, the obvious difference is the body style. Personally, I prefer the look of the earlier (gen 2?) integra, but I wonder what the other differences are...

I know that in '92, the HP was upped a bit - so I'll limit the discussion to 92-93 models. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the 94+ RS/LS/GS essentially the same under the hood?

Airbags were added in '94, I think - and the earlier ones had those annoying motorized seatbelts. Is there any mod to 'fix' them?

The GS-R was very rare in '93, so those are all but impossible to find. More common in the later years. - Side question; how much better is it than a 'standard' Integra?

Was the '93 GSR the 1.7 liter engine, and the 94+ GSR's a version of the 1.8?

My impression is that the newer version is generally smaller; less storage room under the hatch, tighter feeling inside.

What are some other differences? Comments and opinions welcomed.
Thanks!

Re: 90-93 version vs 94+ Integra

If anything the 94+ are bigger, the actual space inside may not be alot bigger but the out side is bigger. The 94+ are also heavier. If you are looking at getting a 94+ then try to get a 94 or 95.

And yes the 93 GSR had the 1.7 liter DOHC VTEC motor rated at 160hp and the 94+ have the 1.8 liter DOHC VTEC motor rated at 170hp

Check this site out for more info on all the engines:

http://www.bseries.net/html/specs/benginespecs.php

I own a 91 Integra GS and I love it! It is lighter and cheaper than the 3rd gen, and it handles great! You can see it at my website:

Hope that helps!

Re: 90-93 version vs 94+ Integra

only thing i like better about the gen 2 tegs is the headlights , wich is fixable in the gen 3's .... and to answer the gsr question , its a bit different than the rest ... better engine , better suspension , fully loaded , better tranny , it was the "supped up" top of the line model up untill the type r's debut in 97 ... i love all tegs , exept for the earliest models ....

I love my LS too... firstly the 1st Gen's are old School coolness I saw a MINT one a few months ago, it looked awesome! Yeah I like the style of my 2nd Gen better... though I do like the JDM 3rd Gen ... or is it the 4th? When they changed a bit and got the new head lights?

Yeah for the USDM what'd they change? Some bolts? Maybe moved the Ashtray 6.5 mm to the left?

and we all know that you and her are the exact same drivers, one of you isn't better at driving at all, so it was a completely fair race huh

I have a 90 teg and we all know the 130hp motor is no good so it now has a 98 B18C1 in it, so I dunno about that stock motor junk.
