As some of you know, b-b00gie is getting the IMPUL kit from me so this is the situation....I got my sr20det motor last month and been saving up money for the installation, anyway, now b-b00gie is getting the IMPUL kit, I wonder if I should go ahead to get the kit along with him or install the motor
So hard to decide!!!!!!
what would you guys do??? Be able to go 0-60 in under 6 seconds, 235hp on the tap with the whistling of the BOV shifting through all 5 gears or the super duper good looking IMPUL kit????
:help:

its a really tough call...

the motor is definately something to drool for, as any g20 owner can tell you... we all want more power!!! i cant wait to get my DET this summer (with lots of install tips from you of course!! )

i guess it mainly comes down to... do you want to go with out your car for awhile right now while they put the engine in and work everything out? or do you want to wait the eternal 6 weeks to get the body kit?

i probably wont get my kit put on for awhile when i get it cause i'm thinking of changing the color of my car, which is a ton of money to strip completely down and re-do in a new color....

Thanks for the replies...I am leaning towards the det motor as well. But still debating...cuz the Impul kit in my Hyper Rev magazine sure looks sweet!!!
Haha, seems like everyone wants tips from me to install the motor...am I some sorta test rat???
When I have time, I'll post some pics of the motor sitting on my pretty engine stand and pinpoint the parts you need and don't need.
In the mean time, I am still so TORN between the two.
One note b-b00gie, the minium wait for the IMPUL kit is 6weeks....it took me 3months to get my wheels, so make sure you have lots of patience

wow...what a hard decision. either way theirs gonna be a wait. If you want the motor, you can do it right away and get it installed, but that'll take a while. But if you get the kit, you gotta wait for the kit and you gotta get it painted and installed which still another wait..hmmm...I'd say get the kit and while your waiting for it, save your money and by the time it comes in, you'll have money to paint it and by the time that gets done, you can still put a little towards the motor...damn maybe by that time, you might have the money get it all done at the same time...who knows. Well...whatever you get, your car's still gonna be tight and just think you probably have both eventually anyways :jump:

Go with the turo motor. You can do it straight away and get some instant satisfaction (Assuming everything goes to plan). You will have to wait for the kit. If it was me I couldnt be that patient. I would have wanted it yesterday. My vote is for the motor. Go kick some arse! (Only problem being is that after the motor is installed, u will have to spend your money on replacing all those burnt out tyres! HAVE FUN!)

man, i am replacing tires on a yearly basis already...and that's only with a JWT intake! haha..well, and lots of suspension work.
It would take me about a week to install the motor and get it running right since i already have the engine...for the kit, I would have to wait a long ass time for it to get here, but once it's here, only about a week to get it painted and installed on my car...either way, I would have to spend lots of money, which is something I am dearly lacking right now hehe
oh, someone asked about Hyper Rev magazine....I got it at the local Little Tokyo bookstore ( i live in CA ) and it costed me freaking $38bucks!!!! but it's worth it though I think, it has became my bible! almost 200pages of full color ads and articles on the P10 and P11...if anyone is intersted, it's Volume 42

Well, I guess they have to ship it over here, but did they buy it a seat on the concord or what!! Was it in English?

Anyway, I would go for the motor, then get the body kit later. Then you would have a sleeper for a while, then a bitchin' machine!

There is nothing more amazing than the look on other drivers when they think they'll lick an underpowered G20 and you take off like a bomb. Hell I'd put on the DET and play innocent at stoplights. The price of buying the engine ..$ ?, the cost of downtime $, the look on other drivers face ....priceless.:frog:
