Apexi AVC-R Setting
Guys,
Just searching through the settings on the Apexi AVC-R that i got with my car, i must say that i have tried reading the manual and it is a little over my head so far!. One thing i did notice though is in settings, ETC, Car Select, SPD the setting is set to 4 and not 2 as it states in the manual (all other nissan's), i know the speed readings do not seem to be accurate and i just wanted to double check before changing the setting.. don't want to blow the car up.. Also as far as i know the car is running 0.7bar of boost, how would i increase that (97 GTR) in the AVC-R you need to set boost and Duty which in the manual equals solenoid valve duration divided by total solenoid valve operation duration times by 100. How do i work out the durations? obviously i cant count to 16ms Can anyone help? Thanks |

If you are trying to run 0.7bar of boost, you don't need to turn on the boost control (just set it to OFF). I am running 0.8bar with 35% cycle and 1.0bar with 50% cycle. I think it is almost the same on all standard GTRs.

Just keep in mind that with the AVCR turned off, your the boost won't come up as quick as well.

so if i turn the boost controller to off, what is controlling the amount of boost? the wastegate?
(i am also trying to figure out where abouts the boost controller solenoid fits in with the turbo's) Thanks |

If you bypass the solenoid, the boost you are generating will directly press on the spring of the wastegate, thus causing the wastegate to open more, hence less boost.
