warranty

Ok I have a real stupid question now. When the warranty says 3 years or 50,000 miles. Is 3 years from the time I bought the car or when it was made? This may sound stupid but it depends on whether or not my car will be fixed. Give me some answers here quick! THANKS!

Re: warranty

well that depends, did you buy the car and have a 3 year 50,000 mile plain added? or is that just what it came with. I would just call the dealer you got it from and ask them.

If it's a brand new car it starts the day you bought the car. I have a 3yr 36,000 mile warranty. I bought my car in Aug. 20, 2001. My warranty will expire on aug 20, 2004. Even though I'll be over the miles before that. I believe the same does apply to used cars also, unless the dealer tells you otherwise, but normally the dealer explains stuff like that with used cars. If not contact the dealer, or contact Pontiac they cna tell you also when your warranty will expire.
