how bout a honda project car

dood how do we get a project car...i mean its gotta be cheaper to get a 89 civic hatch or a rex than it is to get a 350 right? plus its way cheaper....so how do we do it? and who all would support it?

I'm willing to bet the 350z can be written off as a 'business expense' with it being the AF 'project car'... and he's probably getting the parts at a major discount or for free even for 'advertising' them for the companies.

well i dont think AF could be considered a business, as i dont think igor sees any profit from it, unless its by selling advertising

Don't have to see profit. As long as it's got some form of income (I.E. member donations... advertisements)... whether it's losing money or not... it can still be considered a business, and he can still use it as an excuse to write things off

And why would you want a Honda project car when you can use one of the coolest 'retro style' cars out in years... and incase no one noticed, AF is not JUST a honda forum.. Every car has a place in here... and maybe igor doesn't like honda's like that? Even though he gives us a rather large area to chat it up in.

first off, i wouldn't say iggy is rich. for those who have been around i'm sure you've seen all the server upgrades. and everytime there is an upgrade it seems like that many more people register and another server upgrade is required. i feel his pain. i had the same troubles with the civic site. every upgrade costs money just to upgrade again in another month. that is until i was able to find the last place i hooked up with. so far you people haven't been able to kill the bandwidth in over a year

why a 350z? well, that's his car of choice. when you run the place, you get to make that call.

Killa_CRX brought up an interesting point. AF is a forum for all makes of cars. HOWEVER, we are very lucky igor in so many words donated this corner to us. if the civic/crx people want to see a project then it's going to have to come from 4thGenerationCivic.com. unfortunatly i don't see that happening anytime soon as the civic site isn't a business of any sort. if anything (and i hate to say this, but...) our cars will be built for the sound shop as we & the shop owner can write things off...it is a legit business.

OK heres the deal. I have a bone stock 90 crx. You all each can send me an amount of money adding up to $1000. That will be to give you rights to the car. Next, KEEP sending me money and I'll do all the mods and everything else you want done to it. ANd whoever sends in money, will be able to swing my by house, and take the car for a spin.

Sounds good? Cause it sounds good to me LOL.
