dont rush into it. If you can, do some research before you buy. Buying a car for looks is not always good.

depending on how much snow you actually get, mayb you should look towards a 4WD/AWD vehicle. The AWD will be great in the snow, and you can slide around with it in the rain snow, and with some work it is possible to drift a AWD car, its different than an RWD drift (but still better than FWD trying to drift).

Re: 16 years old looking to buy car..NEED ADVICE!!!!

Hoju, the 98 or 99 impreza isent that bad for a first car and its also Bunta's car so it rocks.
I'm also from canada (MOntreal),so in the snow it would be great.
The prelude is amazingly looking, but forget about it if you want to drift whit it, draging maybe its good but drifting no its an ff.
for an fr car an 240 98-99 is also a great choice.
hope i helped you in any way.

Impreza's are nice... but where are you gonna get one for $8,000 (98-99)? Well, if you can get it... but I would get a 240sx or even an FC Rx7...

hoju I am also 16 and am getting a car too. What im getting is a 325ci or i E30 BMW. E30s are 3series BMWs from 1984 to 1990. They are RWD and pretty light weight. (about 2600lbs) So those two things right there make for a good drifter. Also stock they make 183 tq and 168 hp. TQ is also another good thing for drifting. Plus their engines are made of iron so that makes them really tuff and good for turbo. With your money you could get a nice E30 for less then $2000US. Then with the rest of your money turbo it and kick some major ass. Just think... a car you can drift with, drag with, and own cars that cost twice as much in the corners One more thing look for the 325i or 325ci. Dont get the 325e.

Heres a pic of a E30. Hes making 600+hp and 600+TQ. With N20 over 700hp

Another nice E30

So just another car you could consider

Well if you want cheap and drag get a 5.0 mustang. Cheap to make fast and with right suspension can drift very well. You could get a nice 5.0 for about $2000US.

Re: 16 years old looking to buy car..NEED ADVICE!!!!

I'm also 16 and looking for a car. Going by my preferences I will probably get an MR2 (sw) or a 240sx (s13 or s14). I saw a '91 mr2 na 5speed for USD$2400.
For an FR, an S13 or S14 would be a good bet,
and if you want 4wd try the Celica all-trac (gt4).

You don't want a 4WD, but you might want AWD.
