HI,
New G20 owner here. I just bought a '91. I love it. Now I'm looking for a community of knowledge that I can draw from when I have questions or problems.
Here's my first one.
When I BARELY step on the gas at any speed (more noticeable at low speeds) the engine starts to sputter. If I press harder the sputter goes away. I don't want to drive this thing full tilt all the time....

Any ideas?

Thanx,
Odd1

sputter like its trying not to stall? or like its just lagging?

if its lagging you may have a timing issue... i know someone who had a p10 and it used to lag on the throttle unless you floored it... turned out his timing was off... once re-adjusted the throttle was responsive again.

You might wanna check the condition of your spark plugs and wires and also the timing.

Yep...check the timing and plugs, also if any hoses have come off that should be on.
Ckeck the cable to,some times they can get stiff and dont work as smooth as they should.

Ive had that problem. When my car was imported from Japan, they washed the engine with water at the docks to make sure there werent any pests etc that might get introduced to the country. When they did this the filled up the spark plugs cylinders with water. Turns out that after a while my car started to only run on three cylinders, NOT HEALTHY! Sounded like a Subaru Boxer engine thou. Once I had dried the chambers out, the problem went away. Then it returned again. I was starting to worry, I thought the engine was f**K*d. Luckily I found out that it was the leads that had been effected by the water, got them replaced and everything has been sweet ever since. ADVICE: Get some decent leads - like 10mm. Makes a difference to performance, especially when mated with good plugs. I just got some 8mm champion leads (At that point I had no visions of modifying the car) Now im regretting it!:smoker2:
