99 Intrigue alternator

I am trying to change out the alternator on my 1999 Intrigue. I finally got the old one off and went to get the new one but it did not have a pulley, had several employees and customers at the auto parts store try to figure it out but can't see how to get off the pully. Anybody out there know anything about this?

Re: 99 Intrigue alternator

I've never purchased an alternator that did not have the pulley on it (then again I have never purchased an alternator for an Intrigue) but I have found this to be true on other items like a water pump.

I suggest that you find a new parts store. Both the AutoZone and the Napa in my area have kits behind the counter to pull the pulley off the old part and mount it back on the new part. The times that I have had to do this there is no way that a reasonable person without this kit could get the pulley off without bending or breaking it.
