my 2001 ss gives me about 14 mpg, i have changed my oil (mobil 1 synthetic 10w-30), spark plugs(ac delco iridium), air filter(ac delco), except the o2 sensor, my car has oil consuption, i use 91 octane(union 76), the performance of my vehicle is outstanding, although it does make some ping noises in the engine, do i have any problems with my car, or it is normal to use that much gas.
please advice |

Re: better gas mileage
http://www.epinions.com/auto-review-...3A4BB91F-prod3
according to this it has 17 mpg in city, and 25 highway, so im not sure about yours, why its 14, and a thing that can help is a better exhaust, which will help more air out and maybe more mpg, and a K&N air filter thats around $200-300 usually you can find it on www.rksport.com |

Re: better gas mileage
just lighten your foot a little. anyways, the gas mileage that is put out by the dealerships is given by the EPA and they are average and not exact. not every car model gets exactly what the window sticker says. dont worry youre fine...
