Which one was this?

Hi all,

This is my first post...I didn't know such a group of fanatics existed.

Anyway, the F1 is my favorite car, but living in the US (even in car crazy Los Angeles), I never thought I would actually see one in real life.

But, last year, I was driving to work on Las Virgenes Canyon Road (aka Malibu Canyon Road), when around the corner, going the opposite direction, came an F1! I couldn't believe it it for a second, and I had to look in my side mirror to confirm what I had just seen go by (thinking maybe it was a wannabee-replicar or something). It definitely was an F1, though.

Too bad I only saw it for a total of about 3 seconds! The car was either a sort of copper/red or perhaps dark metalic orangish color.

Search this forum for "Kennedy" and you should find many photos of Dan Kennedy's F1. He actually lives in Scottsdale, AZ, but his car spends a bit of time here in the LA area as well. Congrats on getting to see it.

I used to live off Las Virgenes when I lived in Calabasas btw.

I'm in Thousand Oaks now - I lived in Calabasas for about 3yrs.

Other F1s in our area belong to Jay Leno (black w/red stripe on the door) which is kept at his warehouse in Burbank and Elon Musk the former PayPal CEO owns one (silver) which he keeps at his home in Bel Air. I got to see his one night coming out of Hidden Valley - search for "Worlds Worst McLaren photos" or somthing like that.

There's a few more that are possibly "around", but those two are really the only ones that are confirmed in this area.
