Naive teenager...need some mod help

Hey everbody, I'm new to the modding scene...well, the vehicle scene to be exact. I just bought (yes me, not mommy and daddy) a 1993 Honda Prelude Si. I have about $700 to spend on mods. I want to primarily focus on the performance side. Anybody have some suggestions. I do know a thing or two about cars cuz i helped my pops rebuild his bronco and 68 camaro. I have looked around at things I can do to my car but I'm still unsure about which brand is better and all that. If anybody has any info for me that'd be great.

Justin

I'd probably start with an the basic bolt-ons I/H/E, then decide from there what you want to do. You won't be able to do all 3 with $700 though.

start with intake and header... AEM CAI and DC Sports ceramic.

with any leftover cash (which you should have since the above combo is less than $500), pick up maybe the AEM underdrive pullies, as they will help free up some horsies. they're usually for sale at $120 or so. if the miles are high, inspect and see if a tune up is necessary... this will also restore some lost horsepower. get cap, rotor, spark plugs (denso or NGK iridiums are worth it... i saw a 6.8hp increase peak over new NGK V-power plugs i had installed before), spark plug wires if you need them, and inspect your timing belt if you're around 80k-120k miles.

if you get exhaust first, everyone will think you're tuned and will wanna rev on ya.

Hey, if you're still looking for a site then www.nopionline.com has a lot of stuff. I also like www.autodynamic.com they deliver pretty quickly and I've never had any problems with them. Another good place to order from is www.overboost.com
