Hard Water Spots

I need something that will work really well on hard water spots. When I bought my truck I noticed these water spots on my side windows. They are not on the front or rear windows. Someone told me to use CLC, but I haven't tried it. I would like to see if anyone new of anything else to use. I read somewhere they told me to use a fine steel wool and windex, but this did not work. What could I use?

I used LimeAway in a spray bottle and it worked good.

Try a clay bar. Mothers Gold makes a good one. They're for paint but work wonders on windows too.

I would'nt touch a clear coat with steel wool, stick to the lighter stuff and work up, I usually start with a body scrub like meguiar's, if that doesnt work you could try a clay bar or some rubbing compound (green), just remember GO SLOW you'll get it out you just dont want to take the finish with it ;P

I would try the Clay bar or a little toothpaste.

Re: Hard Water Spots

Vinigar and hot water. Use old pantyhose to scrub window clean, then dry with an old newspaper. Paper towel will work too, but newspaper leaves no lint. I know you're laughing, but it works.
