Drag Race

Well, i went to the track this past sunday for some testing and tuning, and to see if i improved my driving skills from last time any. My first run was horrible, A z28 was in the right lane (i knew i was gonna get killed), but to top it off, i wasn't paying attention and got a 1.1 reaction time, and ran a 10.5. The z28 ran a 7.1, and ended up being the fastest street car at the track that day. My second run was against another del sol with an ls swap. I figured i would beat him easily. I pulled out a .586 reaction time and ran a 10.2 whereas the other sol ran a 10.4. I figured that was a little fast for an ls swap, so i asked the driver what he had done to it. Turns out he had i/h/e, skunk2 stage 1 cams, and a ported and polished head. My third and final run proved to be another 10.2 and the 4.6 mustang i ran against pulled a 9.9. Not a bad day overall. BTW, this is an 1/8 mile track.

Re: Drag Race

Well then that guy was bullshittin me. I don't look into cams too much, cuz i prefer to stick with stock or JDM, especially since i have a turbo plan in the future

Re: Drag Race

I have ran a 10.1 my first time at the track. But, with all weather tires and heavy 15's that were on the car when i bought it, it kinda slows down my times.

Re: Drag Race

lol heavy 15's never heard that one before, its basically your heavy ass car i think thats the only con to a del sol

thats why you really dont see them as track cars, they are pretty heavy and ive heard stories of the targa top flying off during a race or someone racing with it off and then trying to put it back on with no luck becuase the structure bends, this ofcoarse is a really powerful del sol

Re: Drag Race

Dude, these are those ugly ass 80's BMW style rims. I call it the spiderweb design, mightaswell be solid wheels. I would almost put steelies on it over these things.
