5 point harnesses

I just got some new 5 point harness. I was wondering how can i mount them in the back of my seat???I can figure out the front and sides but the back is confusing. Its a stock seat.

Re: 5 point harnesses

I think most people use the rear seatbelt mounts.

the right way to do it would be to put in a 4 point roll bar with a cross bar and bolt them to the cross bar , you want to tie point to be level with you shoulder

right now I have mine bolted to the rear seat bolts, but I'm gonna make a bar that goes across the rear for it to bolt to.

Re: 5 point harnesses

If you don't know how to install it you shouldn't use it. Plus if this is a street car you have more chances of dieing using a harness for the street than using your stock belts.

I bought the 5 poitn harnesses for autocross. I just installed 4 of the 5 belts today in class. For the shoulder straps I have them going all the way to the ear upper strut bar behind the seat. And for the sides I used factory.

Me and my dad relocated the attachment point for the shoulder straps under the rear seat. And yes, i can still use my stock seat belt if i wanted to. I didnt attack the piece between the legs because if i pull it, the camlock will not touch my body and their will be space between me and the belt. So i just left it right, left, and shoulder straps.
