Re: Help me secure my secure my Type R
Hey there. I know how your feeling about your Type R. Im going through the same junx right now. im currently working on the security on my car. If you have a Laptop you can get a piggy Back system for your ECU and you can progam the Piggy so that when you plug in the laptop into your car and type in your password, then it would start. That's only if your good with computer programming. Either that buy one of those Car security systems that you see down im South Africa, the shit that shoots flames out from the side of your car.
Take it easy man, good luck keeping the peeps away from such a damn fine car! |

if they really want it bad enough they will be able to steal it, tow it, or carjack it.
Lo Jack can track the car and recovery it fast so that further damage cannot be done, and catch the thief. |

maybe I can splice the wires off an extension cord, and connect them to the car. That way, when some thief bastard tries to take it, they get electrocuted and they Die!! I would come out the next morning and they would be laying there like dead roaches!!!!!

Anywho. No you do not need to have 2 systems installed. Keep in mind that what they say, if they want it, they'll get it. Now, first thing is to pick a solid brain. I suggest anything from DEI like Python. Next, tailor it to your ride. You would be smart to have a back up battery siren, hood lock, and some sort of paging system either via 2-way remote or the cell phone trick. Then you'll want to beef up any area where the alarm doesn't do good at like maybe mercury tilt switched on the hood and trunk. Maybe a glass break sensor or motion sensor. If you do all of that, it'd be pretty tuff for the common theif to get past all of it without it sounding off. Oh, you could always do a ghost switch starting system where you would use a factory switch as a starter kill. So, you'd have to push say the brakes or power mirror switch while you turn it over for the starter to engage. Sometimes those real simple things are terrible for a theif to figure out.
