Help wtih 98 GT manual trans

I was wondering if anyone here has had some experience with changing the clutch on the 96-98 (2.4) Grand ams. I have a 98 with about 98K on it and the throw out bearing is starting to get pretty noisy. No clutch slippage yet, but I'm considering installing a new one in the near future. I've had some experience working on a Z24 with a 3.1 manual tranny and getting the tranny out of the engine bay on that car was a real bitch. Anyone have any major difficulities with this process on the Grand am's? Anything significant I need to look out for? Let me know.

Ok guys, my 98 GT just took a turn for the worse today. A couple of days ago, I heard a noise from the manual tranny that was like a light knocking noise that seemed to speed up when i let off the gas and then seemed to slow down when i pressed the gas. Then things got worse in a hurry. The car would disengage from gear for a split second on occasion and make a really harsh banging noise. Now it doesn't go anywhere. I can engage each of the gears with no problem, but when i let up on the clutch, I can hear a grinding from inside the tranny and the driver's drive shaft just shakes (Doesn't spin) and the car doesn't move at all. I pulled the drive shaft and the splines on the shaft itself and those inside the transmission are in perfect shape. So what could be causing this grinding noise that stops the tranny from spinning the shaft? Is my tranny totally fu**ed? Anyone have any similar experiences?
