even you got $ You can't get that engine ,unless you know somebody from the racing department...........
otherwise You need to re-build the engine yours self , you need to build it from scrap (TRD 0.8mm gasket , Direct intake, 400cc feul injector"from the NA supra", 12000RPM crankshalf balancing,TRD racing piston, lighter flywheel,Feul managment system & special tools to do test etc)4ag 11000rpm dream a jap Pro-racer soup up his levin....93meg |

You could order that motor from TRD at the time, the only reason it's hard to get is that they don't make it as a prebuilt motor anymore. You can still get the bits. People like Tomei make similar motors anyway, without manifolds though.
Finally, just remember, you can ring direct to TRD japan and talk in english to their operators. Most of their good shit is special order though.

it wouldn't be so easy , because that engine is for F1600 (F3/4)and Formula nippon. Formula Asia etc
TRD will only offer the upgrade kits ,part but not the engine . Only TODA is still product them (full engine) \245,000 yen IN \16,000yen / EX \13,000yen IN \46,000yen / EX \42,000yentotal and see how much is it ... not including works and balancing |

Re: TRD 11k rpm motor
In my opinion there is no sense in investing $14,000 or more for a 240hp engine. You can easily get something even more powerful for less money (if you're willing to accept a used one). It might be a little more difficult to swap an engine into it which isn't made for an AE86 (but not much more difficult than swapping another engine into any car where it doesn't belong to). I'm not sure if there is enough space for 2JZ engine, but it would look at least a little bit similar (and has more power at less RPM, still revs up to 8000 easily). Has somebody ever tried? However, if you're not a real freak and have to have the original, there are cheaper ways to have a powerful AE86...

Re: TRD 11k rpm motor
oh whatever, it doesn't matter. I mean it's better than someone bringing up the topic AGAIN in three months on another thread that we have to keep linking back too.
I used to complain about that stuff too, but then now that I think about it, it really doesn't matter |

Best Motoring International Vol. 4 'Roaring Vtec'
Had a Hachi powered by the Honda S2000 motor... I thought that was pretty spiff. Even had the digital tachometer. Tsuchiya thought it was pretty badass, and it flatout hauled on the 'touge' course. Anywho... I'll leave this thread open for discussion... I see no harm in it as of yet. But another mod may chose to close it at their discretion.

Re: TRD 11k rpm motor
Pity the race spec 4age's are so expensive.
Here in Oz, you can buy a 20v 4age silvertop for a good 300-500US. Decently powered engine, and I heard that you can buy some special parts off that motor[11k rpm one] that bolt-on the 20v, giving it a considerable increase in revving capacity, etc. p.s: on a side note if you have a plain 4age a good thing to do is grab the tvis system from the earler corolla's/celica's and bolt it on in place of the existing system. |

Re: TRD 11k rpm motor
14k is a waste of money for 240hp. get a 152e motor from japan. toyota made it for corolas both 70s, ae86, ae111, ae101. nice and powerful 4 cyl engine. 250hp and for the low price of 8k. little problem.... actually, big problem.... extremely hard to find parts for it.
