SRT-4 or s2000

i am going to be buying a new car sometime around june. i was thinking either an 04 srt-4 or a 02 s2000 i know they are very different cars but i like them both alot. i like the speed and how dodge has teamed with mopar to provide upgrades for the srt-4 but i like the s2000 because its so damn pretty. whichever car i get im going to put alot of money into mods so if anyone one has anything that they think will help me out it would be awesome. thanks

well from what Iv'e seen the srt4 ios slightly faster, but the s2000 is deff has a much more upperclass interior and look. I hate convertables so I would go with the srt, also you will save a large amount of money with the srt. What about the 350Z, thats what I plan on getting when I get out of school.

350Z's are hot but i dont know they are to much of a show car for me. i want something with more GO than SHOW. i went to dodge today and had a look at the srt-4 and lemmi tell you its pretty pimp. the guy didnt know shit about it tho i asked a bunch of questions and he had no idea what i was talking about. i didnt have time to go to honda but im planning on it for tomorrow i just wanna see which i like better. i wanna drive them both and look at some other stuff before i make a decision for sure. thanks for the feed back maybe ill look at some 350Z's see if i like them. thanks

Both are very nice cars, as far as performance goes, I have to call it a tie between the two. The SRT-4 is alittle quicker through the 1/4 mile, but as far as handling and braking I have to give that to the S2000. While I like how the SRT-4 looks, the S2000 is a beautiful car with an awesome interior. Drivability though, I give the edge to the SRT-4, more torque to play around with, the S2000 loves to be driven hard and loves the open road, but on a day to day basis especially when you mix in traffic, the S2000 might seem like a bore. As far as tunning goes, big edge to the SRT-4, hasn't even been out to long and there already is alot of parts out for it and not to expensive. So it all depends on what your looking for, a dragster or a race car. This is all just my opinion though, hope I helped.

thanks alot anything i can get on these to cars helps. another thing that plays in is im only 18 so i gotta see what insurence is gonna run on both . it would be my day to day car so maybe the srt-4 is better for me but i mean i dont know something about the S2000 i just cant get enough of. i like the looks and the fact thats its only a 2 seater so i dont have to cart all my friends around hehe. but in any case thanks alot for the feed back

not for shure on this one but i belive aftermarket parts for the s2k usaully run more $$$$$.

you said that your going to put mods in to the car, so you should just go with the s2k becuase its a good car to build up. also there is lots more parts available for that type of car. Even though srt4 are faster when stock.

I think the srt will give more for money..and for the insurance, be looking to pay A LOT for your age. I'm 19 so i can relate That is why I don't have a newer car yet.
