Williams F1 BMW FW24 **PIC**

Well, this kit is done for few month now.. I wasn't really happy with the result so I didn't posted pictures at first. but today was a Picture days so I took some.

Maybe i'm to critic with my own model, but as I said, i'm not happy with the result.

More pictures can be found one my web gallery under Others section.

Comments are welcome (if you like it better than me )

Re: Williams F1 BMW FW24 **PIC**

looks great. I'm building one of these at the moment too. Has the blue paint on the front spoiler run into the creases in the plastic? It looks a bit blotchy. Did you use Tamiya paint for the model. If so I might spray it into a bottle and use my airbrush to apply the paint to small area's.
As I said before the model looks unreal in photo's!

Looks great! better than the one I built. Just a few areas of criticism, the mirrors seem to be angled downwards, they should be horizontal, and the engine bay would benefit from some bare metal foil. But other than those 2 things, its fantastic. Nice to see some f1's on here, keep up the good work!

Re: Williams F1 BMW FW24 **PIC**

hehe

Yes Mirrors had bad time.. I just noticed this too.. I will fix this, quite easy to do.

as for the paint, it's Telefonica Bluw by tamiya. Don't know what happen, I usually got good result with tamiya paint, but this time, the color was uneven. This is the main problem of this built.. It's why I don't like it.. even if it's not a big problem, I'm now used to have perfect finish.

also other problem: the rear crawl don't fit right. Don,t know why, I did everything perfectly, but it will not fit erfectly.. anyway It look good when sided to the car

As for the bare metal, yes i would be a good idea, but I didn't had this when building it.

I'd say the only problem is the blue paint in some areas, otherwise REALLY nice!

I used the telefonica blue on an Altezza after, and had the same problem. I think it was a bad spraycan.. can't think of other thing
