Question questions about an 2000 hx

hey tis is the question that i have. i have a 2000 civic hx and i have saved up some money for it. and i wont to know which route would be better for it. keep the stock engine and buy a shit load of mods for it.i am talking the whole nine yards. ( i have about six grand saved). or i could drop in a b16 engine and put a few mods on it. or i could drop in a gsr and put a few less mods on it. what do you all think. thanks for the advice.

just get the regular b18c b/c its less so you'll have more money and its basically the same except for slight mods to the engine that would be able to make up the difference

The more popular route would be to do a B-series swap. But there are many routes you could take. My friend has a D15b7 I think, it is a 94 dx and he is gonna put a D16y8 v-tec head on it and put some ZC pistons and other stuff. It is going to come out more expensive, but he said he wants to be able to beat people in a 1.5lt Dx.

What I would do is get a B18b(Ls) and boost it It would be about the same price as a GSR and a buttload faster. But I wouldn't waste my money on a Type-R unless you just wanna go for the JDM scheme.

I have a civic hx 97. 1st of i will have a faster car then another civic with a ls turbo or a gsr for one i have been looking into my car for over a year now and i konw what i am talking about... 1st off a civic hx with 50 shots of nitrous, chicara header, intake and 2.5 in custom cat back exhaust with an ex ecu runs a 13.2. proven i knew a guy with it... that costs just over a grand for all of that there fore you still have little over 5000 dollars that you said you had saved up for rims, body kit, suspension, engine bay dressup, racing seats, custom paint job, and a bunch of other shit. but that is my opinion and i know so... if you have any questions right back and i'll have my buddy relay it since i am on his name. peace man

Go with a b18 swap...if you wanna go turbo...then ls is the best motor for it! If all motor...then gsr or type r is the way to go!!
