By can't get the date to register do you mean you followed the procedure in your owners manual and it still won't set it?

I drove my wife's car to work tonight, so I'll doublecheck this tomorrow with my owners manual (unless someone beats me to it), but:
Press and hold the date button for at least 5 seconds- either that or get it to the date screen and press and hold the reset button if the date button doesn't do anything. It pops up a little menu of sorts that basically says enter month and press enter. Then it asks for days, ect. It wasn't too difficult once you get into the entry menu. You really can't screw too much up by trying at least. |

I read in the ALLDATA data base several weeks ago that if the Date feature continues to show "no date available" - the solution is to replace the HVAC programmer. It is on the data bus and affects the readouts from the command module.
You may want to readup on the service literature and see if that is your problem... Just a thought - |
