1995 Civic Coupe with B18c1 AND JR supercharger?

Hey everyone,

First post here and really need some help from more experienced tuners. I just bought a 95 civic coupe and am looking to drop a b18c1??? integra gsr 1.8 in the bay, but also wanted to stick a jackson racing supercharger in there as well. Now, I've seen a gsr engine in a civic before, but will a JR SC fit in the bay as well, or will the hood prevent the necessary spacing??? Anyone try this before? Appreciate any assistance before I even attempt the engine swap. Otherwise, I might just go for the supercharger for the 1.6. Or any other recommendations out there? I only have about $4k to spend, so not even gonna think about a H22, etc. etc.

Thanks in advance!

your swap is going to cost around $4K alone. The JRSC will fit fine in there, they don't sit up any higher than the factory intake manifold does. BTW: H22's are cheaper than B18's.

Thanks for the reply GS. But will the H22 be much heavier than a b18? I would need a prelude tranny too? You might be onto something here. Just a straight h22 without a supercharger as my funds are limited.

its much heavier, you'll need a new transmission, and probably new breaks / suspension to fix the weight issue..

It's really not as bad as people say though. Stiffer springs up front with some good shocks will take care of the weight and handling issue. As far as brakes, they should be upgraded anyhow if you have plans for big power. I'm not saying that the H22 is better than the B18, actually I think it's the other way around. But if you're looking for an all out drag car that can be daily driven, you should keep the H22 in mind.

Yah, i had a 4G EX. It was totaled, some bitch T-boned my sister while she was driving it. And yah, the Sentra is my new car, but Hondas were my first love, since I was 15. And I'm not the typical Nissan owner that thinks Nissan over all, I hate people who can't appreciate a vehicle for what it is rather than the manufacturer or where it came from. And I've taken a lot of info from this some other sites, I figure it's my time to regurgitate it all and help whoever I can out.
