Motor Mounts

I'm pretty sure i need one, don't know which one, but i'd like a confirmation if i could get one that it is the motor mount and only that.

The situations...:
1.)From a stop, I press the gas and start moving, then i come to a stop. I feel nothing, but i hear a small knock from the engine bay.
2.)This only happens when overdrive is on, but from a stop, i'm start to move, not accelerating fast at all, as the car shifts into 2nd, it jerks descently, when it shifts 2nd to third, the car jerks, but not nearly as hard, and the car doesn't jerk when going into overdrive, or 4th. When it jerks, it's more of like a push than a pull.
3.)I'm cruising down the road around 20mph... if i press the gas down more(to a point where the car downshifts, but i'm not floored), as it downshifts, i hear AND feel the knock and it goes. As i let off the gas, i feel and hear nothing.
4.)I'm on the highway, and i'm going between 70 and 80 , when i let off the gas, as the car pulls and slows down, i feel a slight knock, but hear nothing.
5.)I'm on the highway going anyways upwards of 50, then i hit the gas(either flooring it, or really close to it), i feel a hard knock, and it goes, when i let go, #4 happens.
6.)From a stop, if i accelerate hard from a stop, it's absolutely normal.
7.)If i rev the engine in park or neutral, i feel or hear no knocks.
I'm almost positive it's a motor mount, but leave me some feedback please if you think otherwise or can confirm it is. Thanks.

sounds like your tranny! your motor mount would make noise if you rev'd it up in neutral... atleast thats what mine did, before i put the solid motor mounts in my left one (passenger side) on my RST... it went bad and it was knocking whenever i would rev it! but it never made my car shift hard... so there is another reason i would think its your tranny! so good luck!

Re: Motor Mounts

I thought about it being the tranny, but i don't think the tranny has any parts in it that would make the huge clunks that it's making, and the tranny isn't having trouble shifting. Like i said above also, if i accelerate quickly from a stop, i really don't feel it, but that's probably because it kicks reguardless when shifting from a high rpm. Then again, i know jack shit about tranny's, so i'll defitenely have that checked out. But here's some changes i discovered a few minutes ago:
-In park, i don't feel or hear anything, but in neutral, while the car rolls, if i rev, i feel the knock.
-If i sit at a light in drive, my idle quite a bit rougher that usual.
-If i sit in park, it's not too rough, but it's rougher than it normally is, which was smooth with no shaking before. The only reason i noticed it was because i drive the car, and i used to appreciate the car in park because i could rest while waiting to pick someone up, and i noticed tonight while sitting in it after the rev test, i get a little vibration in my back now that wasn't there before.

Either way, i hope it isn't the tranny. Tomarrow, if i have the time, i plan on going to get it checked out. Thanks for your input, though. I really appreciated it.

BTW, congrats on getting the RST back.

Re: Motor Mounts

Well, i got the car back, and they concluded it to be a front Motor Mount, and a left outer tierod. The Motor Mount comes in from a dealer in a few days, and the tierod has been replaced. Thanks for all your help everyone.
