1994 Camry XLE Rear Strut
1994 Camry XLE---While removing stablizer bar link from RR struct, two sides of the hex hole in the ball stud broke out due to corrision. Now I can no longer hold the ball stud with a hex wrench to turn the nut off. No big deal I thought, I would just buy a new stablier bar link. What could a small 8 inch rod cost? Try $80 bucks from Toyota dealer. Now its a big deal to me.
Any sources out there for replacement suspension parts. Can you buy just the ball stud and rebuild the bar link. Or is there some way to take this on off the old strut and install on the new replacement strut. Daughters car, she's away on spring break while dad does some repairs. I have 5 days to solve this without spending a lot money hopefully. |

Re: 1994 Camry XLE Rear Strut
usually to remove that, i put a pair of vise grips on the inside, where the boot is , take a couple of runs and you may lose some grease, but usually works, use same method to install, \
possibly get the links aftermarket, not sure, you should make some calls and check , other wise go with toyota, |

Re: 1994 Camry XLE Rear Strut
Fredbro72, your suggestion is exactly what I use to remove and reinstall the stablizer link. Saved me $80 and I now have a new pair of needle nosed vice grips. thanks
