Blinkers, Hazards & Odometer

The blinkers & hazard lights on my '95 TBird just went out. I've been to a few part stores, and gotten a few different answers. Any other opinions out there? Also, my odometer quit 2 months ago. My speedometer still works, but...

Re: Blinkers, Hazards & Odometer

The "multi function switch" aka Turn signal switch is one very possible culprit, the other is the LCM (Lighting control module). Now, it was around '95 when Ford did away with the "flasher" we are all so familiar with on most of their vehicles. I am pretty sure that for '96 the 'Birds had the "LCM", and not a flasher, but for a '95 I'm just not sure.

Re: Blinkers, Hazards & Odometer

My odometer quite in my old tbird and the speedometer still worked due to a cable being loosened from way too many trips down the dirt road I live on. I never bothered to fix it.

Yeah, Auto Zone had me buy a flasher. They even had me get the wrong one. Now, if it was my turn signal switch, wouldn't that affect my wipers? It's on the same turn signal arm...

Not necessarily. There are different contact points for the different functions. If both your hazards and your turn signals started acting up at the same time, it is probably not a flasher issue as there are 2 seperate flashers, one for each function, and odds are against them both going at the same time.
