I got photoshop CS and when I try to load it I get this message: memory could not be allocated for the activation process. Please close all applications and try again. Then you click ok and it shuts it off. What is it? I closed everything I could without shutting down the computer. I have 512 MB of memory so what the crap is up?

Re: o/t: Need help from you photoshop guys!
try alt+ctrl+del and go to processes and end some ones that arent needed.
or also go to start>run>msconfig>click the start up tab>disable all from starting(they are all installed programs, not neccesary to run) that should work hopefully |

Re: o/t: Need help from you photoshop guys!
Ctrl-Alt-Del and find out what processes are running before you attempt to run the Photoshop program and what percentage of the CPU they are using. Also, see how much physical and kernel memory is available (not used or non-paged). You may have some running processes eating up your resources such as Norton or McAfee.
Something else to think about is which hard drive / partition the program is installed. How much free space is left on your system drive and the drive/partition Photoshop is installed on. I have 512mb of RAM in my PC and I have no issues running Photoshop 7 on Windows XP Pro. If the above doesn't seem to help, try reinstalling the program. Sometimes it's just a bad installation.

Yeah, Adobe stuff it hella expensive. I could probably get a motor swap done on what it costs to buy a few Adobe products.
