Initial D iTR (DC2R) 56K BEWARE!

Hello peoples, i am building this iTR for my bro's friend. So far i lowered the car, made a catback N1 style exhaust, painted rotors, painted chassis. It is going to be painted Tamiya Racing white with gold painted rims. After i lowered the car it made it look alot more agressive. In the 3rd pic it is the stock height of the rear before i lowered it. Tell me what you guys think. Thanx

Yeah its a must lower car... idk why they make a racing car so high anyway... and also no body kit, i dont really like showy cars, i only like simple clean body work, im more of a racing performance guy.

Re: Initial D iTR (DC2R) 56K BEWARE!

I like but, don't understand why you angled the exhaust. in the real world, you wouldn't do that. all that extra bent piping would restrict exhaust flow causing rpm to rise slower. You may not think it'd make a difference, lets say 1/10th of a second in a 1/4 mile run. That 1/10 of a second could mean the difference between the winner and the loser.

Anyway....isnt racing white a creamy color? that's what your going for, or were you going for the pure white look? Either way, it's an awesome looking car, dropped, nice muffler, btw, the can looks a little 'long', but it's cool either way.

dude, theres no way that by have a bent muffler would add 1/10 of sec to ur quartermile, kinda OT, but that one extra bend in the piping isn't going to have that big of an effect...
anyways i see people all the time with bent exhausts in order to make something fit

I guess I shoulda just not said anything, but your right on piping like 2.5 like that no dif, but on the stock size @1.25 or 1.5 it probably would deplete you by at least 1/32 of a second.

You probably dont know but, angled called (Mandral) piped exhausts are better because the air flow easier & flows better, if you dont think that is true you can call up Apexi, HKS, GP Sports, and alottttt more companies that make angeled exhausts, and ask them. ahahahahahahahahaha also i dont like drag racing.. i like roadracing and circuit.
