I have a 93 crown victoria police interceptor and i would like to install a tach in her. if any one knows the best way too go about this some help will be greatly appriciated.

Lemme find my wiring diagrams...it can be done by splicing ONE wire, I just need to find which one.

that would be greatly appreciated. i have a 3 1/2 sunpro tach, it has a tach, ignition, a light wire and ground wires. would this work ok? i just didnt know where exactly the tach and ignition wires should go.or do i just need the tach wire?

Ok, according to my manual, the SECOND wire from the LEFT end with the "tab" on it (looking into the connector with the lock tab facing you), is the TACH driver wire. It appears as though this would be the SECOND wire from the front (connector tab facing the fender).

No, it's the connector for the EDIS (Electronic Distributorless Ignition System) module that is bolted to the LEFT inner fender, just behind the relay box. It should say EDISS on a white tag on the top of the module.
Oh, yes you need a Ignition switched power supply, (you can get that in the fuse panel) a ground, and the light is optional. |
