Rough idle on 89 525 when first started

Has anyone experienced the problem of their 525i running rough for the first few minutes after starting? This problem corrects itself after about 1/4 mile of driving but it is annoying and we want to try to fix it ourselves.
Any advice?

Hi I own a 525i also. Recently i replaced some crankase hoses that connect to the intake manifold and fixed my rouhg idle problems. A good close inspection of hoses going to and from your intake might reveal some leaks which cause the rough idle.
