RX-8 was MIA in LA!!
I just couldn't believe how much my hometown's autoshow could possibly suck this much when I realized that there was no RX-8 on display at the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show.
The 350Z was there! Why was the major competitor absent?! Let's face it, Southern California has helped industrialize the import sports cars market, and we deserve to see some return with more and better debuts... |

They unveiled the RX8 at Detroit on Tuesday morning...along with the Mazda 6. They didn't announce anything that you didn't already know about the car. They did, however, give out these cool "RX-8-balls".

We should write letters to Mazda and tell them how we learned all about the 350Z because Nissan had one to present. Then they'll send us free stuff...

I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but the LA Auto Show will almost always get overshadowed by the Detroit show. There are two "international" auto shows in North America: one in Canada and the Detroit show (North American International Auto Show). Los Angeles is a glorified dealer show (whereas Detroit is a manufacturer show), and probably the SECOND most important car show in the US. "Probably" because it has to compete with Chicago and New York for that title.
