i have two twelves and i cant figure a way that i can put my speakers in and still use the jump seats.. so i think im just goin to use one of the seats and build a box that fits two on the one side of the cab

Re: Subs in a s10 extended cab

Just get one really really good sub like a rockford fosgate HX2 with an ordinry box and you will probably be amazed at the power it has heck I will even be willing to sell you my complete system since i have a regular cab and it kinda pushes the passengers seat a little to far forward for most of my passengers liking andat times its even to much bass for my own liking.

Re: Subs in a s10 extended cab

i had the same problem with my truck. all i did so far is put the 2 10 inch kenwoods that i have in the back, one on either side, as i have 2 seperate boxes, because these subs came out of my car. what i want to do is mount them both on one side, behind the drivers seat, and that way i will have one jump seat left. there is no way you could keep both of them, because even if they were in one box, dead center, it wouldn't leave enough room for either seat to be used. so, no matter what you are losing one seat. it's worth it though, because when you are rattling everything with the intense bass, you totally forget that you lost a seat. it all evens out in the end. and plus, when your drunken idiot friends call you askign for a ride, you dont' have to get dressed and go get them, you have an excuse. my favorite is "sorry guys, the truck is a two seater now, remember?"

Thanks for the input roper, I like your Idea. How does it sound with the tens?? I have 2 polk audio in my blazer and it rocks. I was thinking of going with 12's in the truck through.

man, the 2 10's sound great. 12's would fit no problem, but i dont' even think you would need them. the 10's rattle shit pretty good. but then again, more is better, right? the way i have mine right now is the two boxes are on either side, and are facing the center of the truck. like, imagine the speakers are people sitting in the jumpseats, except they are subs, sitting on the floor. lol. but yeah, when you think about how small the cab of the truck really is, you dont' really need 12's, but hey, if you want them, all the power to you. the 10's sound amazing. i'm running 2 kenwood tornado subs with a 600 watt kenwood amp. i'm only running the amp at half power, and when the bass hits really hard, sometimes it's hard to breathe. but yeah, good luck with whatever you decide to do, i'm sure it will sound great however it's set up

Screw the jump seats man. Just have the front seats. That way when you and your friends go out you don't have to drive. I always get fucked on driving b/c I can hold more people in the Silvy.

Re: Subs in a s10 extended cab

I'd have to agree with him. I have a 4 door Blzr, and get stuck driving all the time. Wether it's a night out, or a road trip. "Hey, we can all hop in the blazer" Man I HATE that phrase.

Hey I Know A Guy Who Has A Truck Box In The Back And He Hooked It Up So The Subs Are Facing Down Into A Couple Fiberglass Tubes That He Then Bore Out The Back Of The Box And Fed Them Into The Cab...i Dont Know If You Have Enough Money For That Though Just A Thought

Basically the skys the limit. I had one 12 in my old S-10. I know people who have 2 12's and there is one guy who had a wall of 15's behind his seats. I think like 6 15's. That was loud as hell. I've also seen 4 15's.
