n00b here

i got this link off club si and thought id check it out, i need something productive that i can do instead of being worthless all the time so i figured id give this a shot. When i was 12 or so i made a model of a helicopter, viper, and ferrari. but i havent done anything else since then. i guess what i wanna know is, what car should i start out with? this is just gonna be something i work on on the weekends and i wont have that much time, maybe an hour or 2 a weekend at most to work on this but itll just give me something to do for a while. also where should i buy models from? is there a place online that i can get them from?

A good place online is www.hlj.com

They have a wide variety from different makers.

I can't really suggest a model for you because I don't know what you like. But if I had to choose, I would pick a Ferrari.

Mostly everybody here would choose Tamiya over any other kit maker. But they can be expensive compared to Revell. If you already know what you are doing and have experience I would say go for a Tamiya kit. Revell do make good kits though. I am working on two right now.

Almost forgot: Welcome to AF.

It depends if you want to be spending time filing or building!

I prepared the body of Tamiya's 360 Modena yesterday at work and it is one of the cleanest molds I have ever seen!
It just all falls into place!

Their R34 is the same
Good kits!

Welcome along to AF.

Go with the Tamiya WRX or GTR34, both are awesome kits to build
