A Good Haul

Just got back from one of my model club's monthly meetings. This month's meeting was our annual Auction fundraiser. I got a few good new kits:

1/24 1979 Monogram RX-7 $7
1/20 Lindberg Chevrolet Camaro Police Car $1
1/24 1990 AMT Ford Probe GT $1
1/24 1985 Testors Porsche 911 Carrera $4
1/24 1998 Revell Saleen Mustang FREE

And next month I'm getting a Nissan MID4 Concept car from a friend for $15. GOOD DAY

That is a really cool car that has faded into obscurity. I had no idea it existed until I saw the kit, and when I looked it up I wished I'd picked up the model. It is very cool, and would be a great addition to any Skyline collection, or at least Nissan. If anyone doesn't know about the car, google it, right this instant!! It's worth it.

Yes it is very interesting. The first time I saw it was at my friend's house, and we were going through his model collection, I picked it up, and thought it was a cross between an NSX and an MR2. While I was searching HLJ the other day, I came across the kit, and remembered the one my friend had. So I did a search on "MID4" and came across a page with all the info. The car was actually the Mid4 II. The car's design and the ideas that evolved into the development of the R32 Skyline and 90's 300ZX, so I thought it would be a great addition to the collection, and would go well with my other obscure 80's concept car, the Olds Aerotech.

I was working on the RX-7 and was putting together and painting the interior whe I noticed, the kit is missing the seats!! Oh well, think anyone would notice if I used the spare Supra mkIII seats?
