99 Neon code clearing??

Need help on clearing old trouble code from computer. Had a code 43. Changed plugs/wires and now running great, firing on all cylinders, but service light still on and saying 43. I've disconnected the battery thinking that would clear it, but it didn't. How do you get that code out?

Disconnect the Batt. and let it sit for like 10 minn. Then hook it back up.

Re: 99 Neon code clearing??

Exactly what Inok said . Some people just remove the negative terminal from the battery and let it sit for a couple minutes. You may still get a code 12, however this is normal and simply means that the battery has been disconnected within the last 50 key-on cycles... DuH! hehe. That code 12 atleast will go away by itself and is nothing to worry about.
