454 engine

Whats the difference between a 454ls-5 and a 454Ls-6? I know that the ls-6 has more horse power and everything but what are the physical differences in looks? Also, what would a stock Ls-6 chevelle 454 run on the quarter mile? Thanx - Andrew

Re: 454 engine

As far as the looks go I'm not sure there are big differences. I could be wrong on that one. I know that the LS6 had an aluminum intake where the LS5 had a cast iron one. I beleive they had different carbs too.

1/4 mile times? "With good tires and some suspension work, the mid-12s should be no sweat." That's a quote from carcraft magazine.
