82 Malibu Engine

I just got myself a 1982 malibu 2 door. It has a v-6 in it now and I would like to drop in a 350 and a new trans. Anyone know what engine would be fairly easy to put in and a transmission that would hook up? Thanks for any info you can give.

Do you want a simple bolt in replacement or do you want to get creative?

A SB 305, SB 350, SB 400 will fall into place. A th-350 or th-400 transmission will work also. I think with the V6 you already had the th-350 tranny.

Below is a link to a site that will suit your malibu dreams. They even have tech articles about dropping a BB 454 into a malibu.

I would like to make the opeartion as easy as possible. I would probably like to go with a 350 so what is a 350 that would be the easiest to drop in?
